This is a great quote by Charles de Gaulle. It reminds me to step back and look at the bigger picture. It reminds me to focus on the things in life that are really important: my God, my family, and my relationships.

I had coffee with my friend, Scott, this morning. He reminded me to “be where you are”. I tend to get so caught up meeting my goals for the day, that I forget to enjoy it.

Soli Deo Gloria!

J. S. Bach appended the initials “SDG” to each of the manuscripts of his cantatas. “SDG” stands for Soli Deo Gloria which, in Latin, means “glory to God alone”. I agree with Bach that all good things come from God.  He is the ultimate creator, and when little bits of His creativity flow through us, what can we say but, “Soli Deo Gloria!”
