Lift Top Coffee Table

One of our customers sent these photos to me this morning. She and her husband love their new coffee table. John Brigham and I worked together on this project. We designed and built custom hardware that allows the table top to be lifted (with spring assist) for dining at the couch. We also added a soft close feature so that the table doesn’t come crashing down into the lowered position.

Utility Cart into School Table

I built this school table for the boys using an old steel utility cart and some reclaimed lumber.
The cart had a handle running along the back side. I cut it on one end to accommodate a roll of art paper.

Doors of Venice

In March Shannon and I spent two weeks in Europe. Looking for inspiration, I started taking photos of the doors we came across. I ended up with about 600 door photos. I will share a few from each place we went. Here are some from Venice:

Hanging Bed

I built this one for a client in New Jersey. I was glad to get some good shots before it shipped out this week. Thanks to my wife, Shannon, and our friend Teresa for the photos! See Teresa’s work at www.temptingweddings.com.

This bed frame was made from reclaimed douglas fir. Handmade steel hardware/brackets.

Progress report

Here are some photos of the latest project that I have been working on with John Brigham. Also involved in the planning and construction were Karl Lundeen, Nate Brigham, and West Fletcher. The painters on this project were Daniel Brennan and Dana Hartley. library (above) and kitchen (below)The counter tops have not been installed. There will be pewter counters on the breakfast bar and soapstone on the remainder. Below you will see a step back hutch with a built in mini frig and custom red copper panels.
