Ben's sculptural work is an expression of reverence for the creation and ultimately the Creator, God. He seeks to exemplify redemption by carving new life into discarded wooden debris.
Each piece is an intersection of abstract modern sculpture and the organic shape of the wood. Ben's current work, the Adelaide Series, are carved from salvaged walnut tree stumps and root balls. The trees had reached their life span and were being piled and burned. Ben couldn't help but notice the beautiful shapes left behind by the flames. He began hauling the charred pieces home and carving them. Please contact Ben for more information and pricing.
