Before and after.
I harvested this standing-dead english walnut from my buddy’s front yard, and was happy to get it back from the mill today. Only 2 1/2 years of air drying and then a month in the dehumidifier kiln and these babbies will be ready to use!
My newest son, Oliver, was born on the 17th, so I took the week off. After a couple of days I got stir crazy and found myself mocking up this baby seat on our back patio. Once the project was started I couldn’t stop. Here’s a few photos of Ollie’s new rocking chair frame. I will post an update when we get the leather seat made.
Made from local Claro Walnut.
